10/11month

This summer has flown by and your first birthday is quickly approaching. It is a true joy being your Mommy. You are so curious and determined yet laid back and roll with the punches. We have had such a busy life lately and you take it all in stride we can push you two hours past bed time, skip a nap, use you pack n play in odd places, feed you random snacks and you still just are as happy as can be. You have not experienced any fear of strangers or separation anxiety yet. You sleep through the night and would prefer to sleep in if allowed a. You nap on your own twice a day. You'll eat almost anything but your a little more picky then Grace....not a big fan of hummus or avocados. You learned how to clap and crawl recently. You pull up on everything and cruise along the furniture. You will push your puppy around the room. Max you've figured out that cars and fire trucks and anything that can be pushed or rolled are pretty cool toys. You do like to play with your sisters princess magic clips when she is willing to share. You get really quiet and try to fold your hands at dinner when we pray. You love music especially anything with a good base. You'll spin your body or stick your leg out and shake it. You love Zukey. Grace is still your idol you get so excited when you see her. You are also part fish and would really like it if I would just let you go swimming on your own. You dive head first into the bathtub if I'm not looking. You don't laugh easily but when you do it is one of the best noises I've ever heard! I am amazed by what you have out up with this year with our crazy schedule and busy lives and I am so proud of you. I love being your Mom little guy!

Maxton 9 month

Well Bubs you turned 9 months old 2 hours and 35 minutes after you sister turned 3 on 6/14. Pretty cool to share such milestones together! You are getting so big so fast. Max you are the sweetest baby. Your personality is really starting to show and while you are pretty even keel most of the time you are start to show your spunky side.

What we know about Max at 9 months.
19.8 lbs (50th percentile) 31in (95th percentile)

-You sleep an 8-9 hour stretch most nights, waking up around 3 or 4 then crashing again till 7 or 8 on the weekends or track out.
-You love to eat. Your eating a lot of table foods now but haven't dropped any bottle feedings.
-You mostly take a bottle now. Nursing is to much work for a busy boy
-You want to be down
-You still army crawl but you are very very fast at it.
-You have 6 teeth now
-You got another bout of pink eye
-You pull up on everything
-I think you might be a climber, you try to get on the shelves of the end tables and anything else possible
-You think eating electrical cords sounds like the best idea yet
-Grace is your idol!
-Your favorite song is twinkle twinkle little star and you get so excited when you see it
-You've done this for a while but you wiggle your hands and wrists in this little circular motion when you are hungry or upset
-You also love the pool just like your sister
-When we pray at dinner you get excited and focus really hard on what we are doing
-Your temper is starting to show and you'll get pretty angry when something isn't going the way you want it too. You clench your fists and stick your arms out ridged and yell.

It is so fun being your Mom! You are all Boy and I can't wait to see what you get into!

3 Years Old

It's hard to believe that you are three years old Grace. I never knew time could fly so fast. You are such a blessing in our life. Mommy and Daddy love you so much. You make us laugh more then anyone ever, you challenge us more then we though possible, and you inspire us to be better.

A few things about Grace Kathryn at 3!
-This year you learned to sleep in a big girl bed and from night one you slept better in your big girl bed then you ever did in your crib
-You still usually get up at least once a night
-The month before Max was born you were potty trained
-You speak complex sentences and often sound much older then you are
-Your favorite toy hands down is Disney Magic Clips! You have every princess except for Elsa.
-You love to watch Disney Collector on youtube it is your strange obsession
-Your favorite food is noodles and sauce close second is tacos
-You are still a great traveler and this year you traveled to OuterBanks (car), Disney World (car), Valpo (flew), Myrtle Beach (car), and Michigan (flew)
-You learned to draw a "funny face"
-You know most of your letters, all your colors, all your shapes, can count to 30, and can make a g
-You have taken on the role of big sister really well. You love Max so much and try so hard to take such good care of him. You are extremely sensitive to his feelings.
-You feel things very deeply. You are sympathetic to others. This has also caused some pretty extensive temper tantrums this year but we are so proud of how you have worked through them!
-You had your third set of ear tubes
-You love to dance and like to do "tie laces" or ballet
-You are afraid of men with beards...when we ask you why you tell us "because they don't have necks."
-You have two imaginary friends Halie and Ellie. Ellis is sometimes a baby in your belly. Halie lives at pinkies house (we don't know who pinkie is). You also say that Halie is your sister.
-You love going to church, talking too, and singing about Jesus. You tell others all the time that Jesus loves them and you do too. You belt out all sorts of worship songs in the car and know most of the words better then I do.
-There are very few things that you mis pronounce but the things that you do say wrong are too cute to correct. For the longest time a restronaut meant restaurant, Mother Goose Club is Clubaleszsclub
-This spring and summer you have to wear a dress every day.
-You are very very girly but hate having your hair up
-You run most places you go
-When you fall you rarely cry, your very tough
-Your birthday party was a pool party and that day you learned to swim back and forth underwater between us

I know there are a million more things I want to remember about this last year. You are such a joyful, silly, passionate, determined, sassy, faithful, kindhearted little girl.

8 months old!

-Max you are an army crawling machine! You get all over the place scooting on your belly.

-You rock back and forth when put up on  your knees. You'll start crawling any day now.

-You now have 5 teeth

-You fought pink eye and your first ear infection 

-Grace took your toy one day and you yelled at her that was when the screaming game between you two was born. You look right at her and tell in a certain tone inviting her to yell back at you and it goes on and on. You try to get Zukey to participate but she doesn't understand!

-You have started to eat more solid food

-You love to be outside

-Everything goes in your mouth: your particularly found of dog bones, magic clip princesses and paper

7 months

-you love to eat! You haven't met a food you don't like.

- your starting to get the hang of puffs and mum mums with out choking

-you have figured out how to say dadada palapa and bababa but dada is your favorite

-you have your first two bottom teeth

- you love the water and get so excited when you hear the tub turn on

-your legs go a hundred miles an hour all the time

- you love to jump in your bouncer 

-Daddy has to put you to bed at night

- Grace is the funniest person you have ever met

-Zukey is a very close second 

6 Months Old Happy Half Birthday!

Long and skinny just like his sister!

-Max is already growing out of his 6 months clothes

-He loves to yell talk and thinks it's halarious to look at you and say Ahhhhh he will repeats it back and forth multiple times. 

- You've been sick with a nasty upper respiratory bug that you've given to everyone else do you haven't been sleeping great!

- you experienced your first snow.

 - we left you and Grace over night with Grandma and Papa! They said you did great

-you know how to sit up

-you can reach for toys and love to eat them!

-you love bath time and are fearless in the water. You get so excited when I turn the water on.

- you kick your feet non stop!

-you can roll front to back and back to front but never travel to far.

-you prefer to tune in circles and find the nearest princess to try and chew on. This drives your sister crazy

-you think Grace is the funniest person. You laugh at her all the time particularly when she is naughty!

- you are a chill and very content baby the majority of the time

- you love to eat and haven't meet a food you don't like yet

- no teeth yet

The cutest things!

Life is going to fast! My babies are growing so quickly and so many cute things are happening. We capture a lot of precious moments through Instagram and Facebook but there are so many little moments I still want to remember. So I'm going to try to blog more! 

Cute things lately!  

We were getting ready to eat dinner last week, Jeremy was in the bathroom, Max was in the highchair, Grace was at her seat, and dinner was on the table. Max was fussing because he was hungry too. I went into the kitchen to get his babyfood and heard Grace trying to comfort him. Next I hear "uh oh Mommy he's getting it!" I run in to the dinning room to find Max covered in potato soup. Upon investigation out kind hearted 2.5 year old was trying to feed her little brother her soup because he was hungry and he grabbed the bowl! Thankfully the soup was not hot!

This is my friend Christies bathroom wall after our small group meeting. Two babysitters watch our 10 kids 4 and under while we meet upstairs each week. Christie text this picture to all the moms one night after group. She stated that it wasn't water and she didn't know what it was or how to get it off. Grace was still awake so I asked her what happened in Mrs Christies bathroom? She promptly stated "I just do handprints, I do the lotion on my hands like this and then just make a picture. Not Arabella Not Bethany just Grace." We hand thought about checking figure prints but we got a confession! 

Matt Maher has a song out call "all the people said Amen". grace often goes around singing the Christian songs she hears off of the radio. Last week we heard her singing "and all the people said sit down, ohohoh and all the people said sit down!"

Sometimes Daddy is Mahdaddy

Restaurant was Astronaut for the longest time and has morphed into resturnaut.

We have had a heck of a few days around here... Friday Grace had her 3rd set of tubes Saturday, Sunday Monday Max got sick with territory crud and then on Tuesday night Grace stared with the stomach bug. It's now Thursday morning and we are still hanging out on the couch!

5 months old!

A lot has changed in a month!

-You weigh 15 lbs and are wearing 3-6 month clothes

-You love to laugh

-Youve started to eat baby food and like everything you've tried. Cereal, Bananas, Sweet Potato, Prunes and Peas

-You fought your first infection this month with Pink eye and a bad cold

-you are no longer an awesome sleeper :( you like to practice rolling in your sleep and need help to fall asleep for naps and bed time, and you are up more now than you ever have been

-you know how to roll back to tummy really well now and have forgotten how to roll from tummy to back.

-You enjoy bouncing in the jumper and sitting in your bumbo!

2/3 month update

3 months old 

Well we're a little behind on Blog updates! Max turned 3 months on on 12/14/14! The same day Gracie turned 2 1/2. I love that they share the same birthday number. Life has been busy and good Max is growing like a weed he is already as big as Grace was at 6 mo old. At his 2 month appointment in November he weight 12 lbs 5 oz and was 21.5 in. I would not be surprised if he is about 14 lbs now! And he decided to start a growth spurt this week!

What we know about Maxton Henry 2/3 months

-I tell everyone you are the baby they would want to have. 

- you only cry when your hungry, tired or have to poop

-You wake up only once most nights and immediately go back to sleep after eating

-Max your smile is the best with little dimples at the top corners

- you love to sit ontop of my knees when they are bent and tell me about your day.

-you coo and goo as if to tell me  a whole story it melts my heart

- Max you started school on December 4th and have been a wonderful baby for Ms Tami and Ms Katina they can't believe how laid back you are

-Max you are a little fish you love the bath tub. You try to wiggle out of the bath bather and get right in with Gracie. You really like it when I let you lay all the way in the wanted and even kick your feet.

-Over Thanksgiving you went on your first vacation to DisneyWorld. You cried twice in the car ride down and not at all on the way home. You didn't fuss at all at any of the parks! You were perfect.

- Max you like to move I will come into your room to find you have turned you self 90 degrees completely swaddled. I have no idea how you do it. 

- you like to watch your feet and eat your hands.

- I think you'd be a thumb sucker if I'd let you.

-You are the best little addition to our family and we are so blessed to have you

4 Months Old

What a difference a month makes!

-Max is one of the happiest babies I've ever met!

- He smiles all the time

- He's a big eater 5 oz bottles at daycare and ever 2.5 hrs

- He can roll over tummy to back

-He learned to laugh 

-He can now blow bubbles and thinks it's funny 

-He puts himself to sleep at night, just fill his belly swaddle him up and lay him down

-Max loves to chew, his hands, your hands anything

-Oh the drool!

-He loves his big sister and watches EVERYTHING she does. He even seems to snicker when she's doing something naughty!

-Max loves to watch sports if he is a little fussy just put in hockey or football and he'll calm down.
